Sumikat si JoAnne bilang recording artist, performer at songwriter noong mid-1980s to the 1990s. Siya ang umawit ng hit songs na ‘I’ll Never Let You Go,’ ‘Kung Alam Mo Lang,’ ‘Back In Your Arms’ at marami pang iba.

“It’s a new phase of creativity. Because of the new song I collaborated with Jimmy Borja, I also reconnected with another friend and colleague Jimmy Antiporda. It’s a new phase of creativity, a new phase of transformation when it comes to your faith. We had so many experiences last year not only with the pandemic. We have losses of lives, a lot of relationships that were challenged. We can’t do all the things that we wanted to do. So, we are entering a new season. We lifted another page, so it gives us hope. I’m sure we’re going to find ways and we’re going to be lifted up with everything that’s going on. Of course, what’s going to ground us is our faith in the Lord. There is hope,” sabi ni Joanne.

Maria at Iza Calzado.

“You know, the new norm now when we do a teleserye naka-lock-in po kami. Kami pong mga actors before we get in a lock-in area… sa amin po sa hotel po iyon… we had to have our PCR test and then we wait for the result. We have to self-quarantine at home before we get inside. So, when we get inside (the lock-in venue), we have to stay in our rooms. Of course, there is an area where we can eat our packed food but we can not socialize. We are only allowed to enter the scene… yung area kung saan kami nagsu-shoot kapag take na namin. So, mahirap po ang new norm. But despite of yung hirap ng new norm naging pamilya po kami sa ‘Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin,’ we became closer. We were there for each other. You can not just think of yourself, we have to protect each other. Despite the difficulties of the new norm now, nakailan na rin kaming lock-in. And before you get out of that lock-in, you have to get another PCR test. So that you’re safe to go home.”

Ang MarkyTalk 101 ay kabilang sa collection of online self-produced programs, broadcasting live or pre-recorded as a live performance na inoorganisa ng MarkyTalk, isang community of Christian artists.
